Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer and songwriter, whose stories of youthful heartache earned her widespread success in the early 20th century. Swift first showed an keen interest in the world of music at a young age. Swift's career grew rapidly beyond the roles of children's entertainers, until her first appearance before a crowd of thousands. Swift was 11 years old when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball match. The following year she wrote her first songs, and also took up guitar. Taking her inspiration from popular country artists like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original material that reflected her experiences of the tween years and alienation. Swift was forced to move from Pennsylvania with her parents and moved to Tennessee, Hendersonville. she was 13 years old to dedicate more time to the wooing of labels of country music in Nashville.
